Máy tính nhúng UC-8418 được trang bị 8 cổng serial RS-232/422/485, 3 cổng Ethernet, 2 cổng CAN, 8 cổng Ethernet, 12 kênh digital input, 12 kênh digital output, 1 ổ cắm CompactFlash, 2 host USB 2.0. Máy tính sử dụng CPU RISC Intel XScale IXP435 533 MHz. Công cụ máy tính mạnh mẽ này hỗ trợ một số chức năng truyền thông hữu ích nhưng không tạo ra quá nhiều nhiệt. Tùy chọn ROM flash NOR 16 MB và SDRAM 256 MB mang đến cho bạn đủ bộ nhớ để chạy phần mềm ứng dụng trực tiếp trên UC-8418, Flash NAND 32 MB có thể được sử dụng để cung cấp bộ nhớ dữ liệu bổ sung. Tuy nhiên, SRAM 256 KB mang đến cơ chế lưu trữ dữ liệu tốt hơn tránh mất dữ liệu.
