MC-5157-AC/DC là máy tính ngành hàng hải không quạt, hiệu suất cao. CPU Intel® Core™ i5 520E mang đặc tính của một bộ nhớ đệm L2 3 MB, nó có thể dễ dàng đáp ứng các tải máy tính nặng được yêu cầu bởi hệ thống tự động hóa trên tàu. Thiết kế không quạt với độ cứng cao hơn giúp cho các máy tính cực kỳ chắc chắn và hoạt động đáng tin cậy, nó được thiết kế ngay từ đầu cho các môi trường hàng hải khắc nghiệt.

Ngoài thiết kế chắc chắn và những đặc tính mạnh mẽ trên, 2 khe cắm PCI mang lại sự linh hoạt giúp việc mở rộng phần cứng trở nên đơn giản. 8 cổng NMEA tích hợp cho phép người dùng dễ dàng kết nối các con quay hồi chuyển, nhật ký tốc độ, cảm biến gió và phần cứng ngành hàng hải chuyên dụng khác mà không cần cấu hình các bộ chuyển đổi NMEA bổ sung, do đó tiết kiệm tiền bạc, thời gian và công sức bảo trì.
