IEC 62439-3 3-port full Gigabit embedded managed redundancy modules
The EOM-G103-PHR-PTP series full Gigabit managed redundancy modules are designed for device manufacturers who would like to embed and integrate the advanced IEC 62439-3 supported modules
with minimum effort into their products to enhance performance and reliability of certain mission-critical applications.
IEC 62439-3 Clause 4 (PRP) and IEC 62439-3 Clause 5 (HSR) are the newest standardized redundancy protocols for industrial automation networks where zero recovery time is needed. PRP and HSR are
suitable for electrical substation automation and other mission-critical applications that cannot tolerate any system downtime.
The EOM-G103-PHR-PTP series modules are compliant with the latest IEC 62439-3 standards and provide an easy and cost-effective integrated solution for adding a redundancy module to a non-IEC 62439-3 supported product. The modules support two IEC 62439-3 Ethernet ports (SGMII (MAC mode) / SERDES (1000Base-X) interface) for constructing PRP or HSR networks and one standard Ethernet port (SGMII (MAC mode) / SERDES (1000Base-X) interface) for connecting with standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet devices. The EOM-G103-PHRPTP series also provide an extra SGMII (MAC mode) / SERDES (1000Base-X) interface for building up a local access Ethernet console port to easily maintain, control, and manage certain devices right at the local site.

White Paper: Enabling Efficient and Visually Represented PRP/HSR Network Management
Creating a network management interface of devices and systems using different protocols can create risks and management issues that compromise effectiveness and security for substation automation networks. An efficient and visually represented PRP/HSR network using power SCADA with specially designed management middleware can effectively avoid these problems… more
Brochure: IEC 61850 Substation Solutions
Maximizing a power substation’s availability and safety is the ultimate goal for both transmission grid operators and SAS (Substation
Automation System) integrators. A properly optimized SAS ensures safe and continuous operation of substations. This brochure examines some key application scenarios that involve availability and safety, and considers the practical concerns electricity suppliers must account for when planning substation upgrades. In each case the focus is on how Moxa’s communication and computing solutions best minimize error probability, detect errors faster, and speed up fault corrections within the context of IEC 61850…….more
Solutions for PRP/HSR Substations
Moxa’s world first PRP/HSR integrated communication and computing solution designed to enable scalable and manageable PRP/HSR infrastructures. The solution is ideal for electrical substation automation and process automation systems that need zero recovery time to ensure the highest system availability and data integrity.
