5 and 8-port managed Ethernet switches with PROFINET enabled
The EDS-405A/408A-PN are 5 and 8-port managed Ethernet switches with PROFINET enabled. With embedded PROFINET, the PN switches can be easily integrated into the Simatic Step 7 engineering tool. It is more convenient for automation engineers to configure through Step 7 and monitor with automation HMIs. The EDS-405A/408A-PN switches with fast booting, Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain fast-recovery technology, can optimize PROFINET network performance. Moxa’s PROFINET switches also support a variety of useful management functions, such as IGMP snooping, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, QoS, port mirroring, SNMP, bandwidth management, and warning by email or relay.

Brochure Optimize Your Network Infrastructure for More Industrial IoT Opportunities While the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) with its wave of innovation ushers in immense opportunities for businesses, it also opens the door to new threats. The underlying network infrastructure, therefore, must overcome this ever-growing number of challenges to sustain truly reliable connectivity. This brochure will introduce how Moxa helps its customers and partners optimize industrial network infrastructure to achieve operational efficiency, availability and reliability in various industrial environments | |
Optimizing PLC Network Performance and Management To increase productivity and reduce operating costs, many manufacturers and plant operators have deployed industrial Ethernet to converge remotely isolated fieldbus systems for centralized control and monitoring. In addition to systems interoperability, integration of fieldbus segments and industrial Ethernet networks will require the optimization of PLC network performance and manageability. This paper will discuss how three facets of PLC network optimization can ensure high network availability, simplify network monitoring and configuration, and maximize network flexibility. |
