The PRPTP translator is a compact DIN-rail mount device that translates PTP (default, power, and telecommunications profiles) to legacy time codes such as IRIG-B. The PRPTP translator connects directly into a PRP enabled network, reducing the requirement for a RED box.
The PRPTP translator enables you to migrate to PTP and Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) networks whilst leveraging the benefits of network redundancy over an Ethernet Backbone, as well as the sub microsecond precision and redundancy capabilities of PTPv2 (IEEE1588v2).
